From
Jim Perrine:
I'm really late getting this letter out. I'm still going the first full
weekend in May, which is May 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I'm looking forward
to this year considering what we did last year. Fishing is first, maybe,
then mushroom hunting and field skeet shooting. Scott and David will bring
the skeet throwers. On Friday and Saturday we will be behind the cabin
shooting and having a few brown bottles or cans.
For
your information here are the NEW state fishing rules.
"on all streams, including Great Lakes tributaries, between Aug.
1st. and May 31st., it is unlawful to use multipointed hooks exceeding
three-eighths "3/8" inch between points and shanks, and single
pointed hooks exceeding a half-inch "1/2" inch between points
and shanks. It is also illegal to use lures that weigh more than one ounce.
So, gentleman, you better take a look at your tackle. I think the DNR
will be cheking. Some of you could be in trouble in the fall. I would
say we are pretty good for the spring but check closely.
I
hope to see you in two weeks. If not, I'll see you in the fall. I sure
enjoy seeing all of you all in great health.
Your
Friend forever, Jim Perrine
