Pine River Pics - Little Manistee Pics

We are camping at the Peterson Bridge Campground south of Wellston for the weekend. Here is a map of the river. Peterson Bridge Campground is on M-37 at the bridge south of M-55 near Wellston.

On Saturday we will paddle the stretch from Silver Creek Trail Campground north of Luther to Low Bridge at M-55. Lots of miles - with the bonus of paddling a stretch I've never seen.

On Sunday we will paddle the magic stretch of the Little Manistee if I can talk Vizi into the part 2 early on Sunday.

I am cooking dinner on Saturday night on my cast iron - results are unpredicatble.

Here are the water flow reports from the USGS:

I am working on the details for next weekend’s canoe trip and am curious if anyone else is interested in a paddle.  I am considering a long Pine River run – from Silver Creek State Forest Campground north of Luther, MI., to Low Bridge.  Or, I could be talked into paddling the backwaters of the Manistee from Red Bridge to Tippy – which should be beautiful this time of year.  I tough run down the Sturgeon is within possibility… we just need water without salmon and the fishermen who chase them.

Vizi, Juszkowksi, Rochester, you three of raised your hands.  Who is joining us?!
