Paddle

We got on the river about 11:30 after ferrying vehicles. We decided to ride three in my canoe. It was myself, MattK, and a special lady friend of mine DeniseB (canoevirgin). We paddled 7 published miles, and it took about 3 hours, off the river about 2:30. GREAT RIVER. Super rocky though. I took a little finish off the bottom of my boat. In all good tradition we managed to tip the virgin in the first series of rapids. Only drama of the trip. Very few people on that stretch of the river. I think most of the liveries must put in up river and let them canoe back down. It was manageable. Had to walk to the boat about three times but all in all I didn't think it was bad. I would like to try to the upper stretch to see if it is any better. What is cool for this stretch is the put in is 2 minutes from BrianK's house and the take out is about 5 minutes from MattK's house.
Good times, cold beer, and one green canoe

Pre-Planning: I know this may be really late in the week to be sending this out but, here goes.... I am going canoeing this sunday 8/27 on the Little Miami outside of Cincinnati. It will be a lazy float and the weather looks promising. I hope to start out around 10 AM and be off the river by early afternoon. Should be amazing sights and good fun. Let me know if you are interested, like I said I know this is super short notice but for those that know me, my schedule is unpredictable at best....Hope to see you on the river
