We had a great weekend on Round Lake at the Koslovsky summer home.
We all arrived on Friday night and quickly made ourselves comfortable.
We grabbed the chips & dips, found a table suitable for poker or
euchre, made our claim for beds and settled in for a weekend of guys
being guys.
Todd cooked us a killer and heart clogging breakfast on Saturday morning.
It was perfect for storing the energy we needed for a day on the ice
fishing for walleye, pike and panfish. We saw nary a scale. So we spent
the day playing doubles horse shoes on the ice - which plays more like
bowling then shoes. Not a bad plan B. We wrapped up the evening talking
politics and Cincy economics - Thank Jeez it only works that way in
Cincy - sitting around a fat fire in the cold air of an early March
Saturday night.
We wrapped up Saturday night with a Bear Lake style fish fry, with
Smelt from Wellston's Randall's Big River smoke house for an appetizer.
A few hands of euchre, a few wrestling matches, and watching the Bear
Cats lose was all we could take before bed.
Sunday was a quiet, relaxed, "we don't want to go back" morning
watching movies on TV with too many commercials. Thanks for a great
weekend out guys.
