Hello to the Bear Lake Fishermen,

It is time to start putting our group together for the 2006 adventure. We will leave on Friday the 21 st of July and return on Saturday the 29 th. As always, arrangements can probably be made to come in late or to leave early. (Bob Taylor please note the date) Bill has agreed to hold our rate; I am sure his costs have gone up, but we do fill the camp for a week. We will take the first eighteen people to send in their deposit or to let me know for certain that they will be joining the gang. Fortunately, we can use the cabin on Cat Island which will allow everyone to have their own bedroom. I think Garland and Bob Taylor might be two candidates for the somewhat “plusher” accommodations.

Jack Harding has promised to make the trip so we have someone to run the euchre tournament and to manage the keg. Last year convinced me to buy some “wacky worms”, hard to understand why any self respecting largemouth would suck one of those in, but they do. Vaughn's prize winning fish is proof enough. Last year was a good year for artificial bait particularly on Billy and Round Otter. Bob Taylor had good luck with top water also on Billy. Round Otter was good again but the trek back continues to get tougher, just ask Charlie. Jimmy practiced has patented catch and release method; do not worry about Jim running out of stringers. We gave him another half dozen at Matt's wedding; just make sure to keep your own fish.

Watch for the spring catalogs, put on some new line, rearrange your tackle box, and make a trip to Bass Pro. Send in your $200 deposit to make certain you are part of the next great fishing trip.
