CHEST FREEZER
We will not be able to store ice or freeze fish to take home in the usual chest freezer we have relied on in the past. - Crawlers
cost $32/flat. If you are planning on storing the crawlers, make
sure you have worm bedding and a good cooler..
The crawlers Chuck has for us will be in shallow dirt.
Don't use a Styrofoam cooler, unless you plan on feeding the
coons, right Todd?

BearLake 2000 Menu
Garland is planning on preparing 3 of the 7 meals. I have sent emails to both Garland and my father but to date, 7/21/00, I have heard no response about the meals. For now, plan on 3 great cajun meals and a mess of great fish for the other nights. Hard to imagine we are relegating fish for the "other nights". But I sure look forward to the grub that Garland can sling. I bet Taylor is already packing as you read this.
Changes for Bear Lake 2001
Looking for the lessons learned from Bear Lake 2000. What can we do better next year?
Larry Clark:
Many thanks to all the fine cooks and the great food they prepared. Agreed there needs to be more advanced planning of food supplies and meals. There was a great deal of excess. The cleaning of the cooks cabin seems to have been left to the cabin residents this year while everyone else played cards. How about more help in that area. Remember Vaughn is going to have his closed trailer next year which will help with the packing (gear in the trailer and boat, coolers in the cars with motel overnight bags).
